Antique shops, bed and breakfast houses, tea-rooms and other attractions might bring visitors to follow. Convincing the sweet old lady who owns the houses is no problem, but convincing the bankers who own the town authorities might prove harder. Thank heavens for Rachael's friends, if only they'll prove faithful.
Stormy Weather is a romance with attendant beautifully written scenes of heart-searching and physical love, but it's so much more than that--a portrait of a town, a reflection on the wounds of legalistic faith, a scathing commentary on materialism. It's a story where readers genuinely can't know the ending--will Rachael end up with local guy Luke or newcomer Mac? Will zoning regulations change, or will she find reasons to move away. Soon we're hoping and praying both Maple Valley and Rachael Jones will weather all these storms successfully.
The pages are sprinkled with delightful conversation, sweet humor, beautiful descriptions and biting common sense. The author's writing has a pleasing sense of conviction, promising the story will end right even when readers can't guess how it should turn out. And the result is a beautiful picture of small-town America and genuine love, with a rainbow in the sky, just like on the cover.
Disclosure: I bought this book a while ago and can't imagine why it took me so long to get around to reading it--too booked up writing book reviews I guess.

I really enjoyed this book, along with her first book Night & Day. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down until I was finished, a definite page turner! I can't wait for her next book!
I'm excited about the 3-book trilogy that Sherrie has almost wrapped up. The first book out of the trilogy is Stormy Weather and it was a GREAT read! Sherrie keeps me wanting more and I've asked her to try to write faster. I'm definately a fan!
Sherrie's book is a fantastic read. You must read them all! First in the trilogy, you will not regret opening this book!
I just finished Sherrie Hansen's newest romantic novel Stormy Weather and can't stop thinking about it. The love story is complicated and very captivating. I couldn't put it down until the very last page. It's been a long time since I've read a book this good. Hansen has a way of describing her characters and setting that makes the story really come to life. The characters became so real to me that I am still thinking about them today. I highly recommend this book and I can't wait to read more from this author.
